From the two-thousand-two Public Radio Conference in Washington D-C, this is Next Generation Radio News, I'm Kate Sweeney.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced this week it will open a new office in Washington D-C. The so-called "super squad" will be a clearinghouse for the bureau's terrorism investigations across the globe. The change is part of F-B-I Director Robert Mueller's (MULL' er) efforts to reorganize the agency. Mueller has been trying to concentrate operations in Washington after September eleventh's attacks and the Robert Hanssen spy scandal. The bureau is expected to hire more than 16-hundred new employees over the next year-and-a-half.
The two-thousand-two Public Radio Conference gets underway tomorrow in Washington D-C. Conference director Alma Long says close to a-thousand people from around the world are expected to attend, including representatives from Hanoi-based Voice of Vietnam.

Long says the conference will have a variety of sessions and will be an excellent opportunity for networking and career-building.
National Public Radio President Kevin Klose officially opens the conference tomorrow morning. Washington D-C Mayor Anthony Williams is also scheduled to speak at the opening session.
Georgetown University holds its two-hundred-and-third commencement ceremonies this weekend. Next Generation Radio's Keith Marshall reports.
