Tulsa Association of Black Journalists

Next Generation Radio project manager Doug Mitchell delivered the keynote address at a luncheon during the Spring 2002 media conference of the Tulsa Association of Black Journalists in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Tulsa Association of Black Journalists is an affiliate member of the National Association of Black Journalists. The association is only a few years old, but now has over a hundred members. This year the TABJ held a Spring Media Conference that featured a workshop on cultural diversity.

Also, there was a "Meet the Press" session. During that session, print, television and radio journalists from the Tulsa media market sat on a panel and answered questions from high school and college journalists from the Tulsa area, and the NABJ affiliate chapter from Dallas-Fort Worth.
