NPR Names Wisconsin Public Radio Director as New Vice President for Member and Program Services

Washington, DC - National Public Radio® (NPR®) has named Dana Davis Rehm, currently Director of Wisconsin Public Radio, as Vice President for Member and Program Services. She is scheduled to begin at NPR in early 2001. In this position, Rehm will work with member stations to maximize the value and benefits of NPR's programs, products and services and will partner with stations to cooperatively advance NPR's activities and strategic planning.

"With Dana's proven leadership and extensive experience within the public radio community, she will help member stations gain the widest possible audience and increase the value of stations in their communities," said Ken Stern, NPR's Executive Vice President. "Dana has the knowledge and expertise that will guide NPR as we continue to improve our services to stations."

Rehm will bring over 10 years of public radio experience to her new role. Since 1998, Rehm has served as the Director of Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), a statewide network of 26 stations, two program services, and four nationally distributed programs. >From 1991 to 1998, Rehm served as Director of Finance and Administration and then Assistant General Manager for KUOW/KCMU Radio in Seattle. During her tenure there, KUOW was awarded the 1995 CPB Local Radio Development Award for Membership and Individual Support and the 1996 CPB Local Radio Development Award for Innovation and Special Achievement. Rehm worked for commercial stations KJR/KLTX Radio in Seattle as the Controller from 1987-1991.

She is the current Chair of the Public Radio Internet Station Alliance (PRISA) and has served as a board member of the Development Exchange since 1995. She is a former member of the board of directors of the World Affairs Council of Seattle. Rehm has held many positions within the public broadcasting community, including as a member of the Public Radio Development and Marketing Conference Task Force and Public Radio Conference Planning Committee.

Rehm holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Seattle University.

Madison Hodges, Director of Policy and Station Services, has held the position of Acting Vice President for Program and Member Services since December 1999.
