NPR Shop Makes Online Gift-Giving Easy Unique, Light-Hearted and Enlightened NPR Products available at shop.npr.org

WASHINGTON, DC-Just in time for the holidays, NPR, with the technical assistance of software consultant CEI, has launched a redesigned NPR Shop at shop.npr.org, offering top-quality NPR-branded items not available anywhere else. Shopping at shop.npr.org benefits NPR, with proceeds from every purchase directly supporting signature quality programming and other NPR content.

Online shoppers will find something for everyone on their list at the NPR Shop, from a quirky, photo-collaged 2003 NPR Calendar ($11.95) to a Morning Edition nightshirt ($34.00), NPR denim apron ($22.00), The Collectors Edition Star Wars Trilogy Radio Drama and an array of new CDs, books, mugs and holiday gift sets.

The NPR Shop features several new book titles, including the latest sports writing from Scott Simon, Neal Conan and Frank DeFord, and If I Live to be 100 by NPR's Neenah Ellis, based on her poignant Morning Edition series profiling interesting centenarians. Also in print and for sale at shop.npr.org is the new Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me! quiz book and Tavis Smiley's latest title, Keeping the Faith: Stories of Love, Courage, Healing and Hope from Black America.

Also at the NPR Shop this holiday season: new CDs, including seasonal favorites such as An NPR Jazz Christmas with Marian McPartland and Friends II and new collections including I Heard it on NPR: Jazz for Blue Nights and All Songs Considered II, which includes music and a multimedia sample of the online NPR show.

Using shop.npr.org is easy and secure. The NPR Shop accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express, and can gift-wrap merchandise for a small fee. Standard shipping takes 7-10 business days, and express shipping via UPS takes 2-3 days.

The NPR Shop's re-launch was designed and implemented by CEI, a nationally recognized strategy, technology architecture and software consulting company that has partnered with NPR on previous online shopping projects. CEI's technology experts enhanced the look and functionality of the site and added some new features, including a search engine and an easy-to-navigate shopping cart process.
