NPR NEWS TO OFFER CONTINUOUS COVERAGE OF
HOUSE DEBATE ON IRAQ RESOLUTION

COVERAGE BEGINS TODAY FEBRUARY 13;

February 13, 2007; Washington, DC – NPR News offers live continuous coverage of the House of Representatives debate on the Iraq Resolution on air and online at www.NPR.org. Starting at noon today, Tuesday, February 13, NPR will cover the debate – in which each of the 435 members of the House will be given five minutes to speak – and will continue coverage through the week until an expected vote on the resolution this Friday. NPR’s Neal Conan will anchor coverage Thursday evening and all day Friday, and host a one-hour wrap-up edition on Friday evening.

NPR News’ Paul Brown anchors a special program summarizing the day’s events at 7pm – 8pm E.T. tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday. The one-hour wrap-up programs will also be available as a live stream and archived at www.NPR.org. NPR Washington editor Ron Elving will join Brown for analysis and commentary.
