THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM, ERIC WHITACRE, LAURIE ANDERSON AND MORE

Beginning today, NPR Music offers advance album streams of new records by The Gaslight Anthem, Eric Whitacre and Laurie Anderson. All of the albums are available for free, on-demand listening now until their release on June 15 at www.npr.org/music as part of the site's "Exclusive First Listen" series.

The Gaslight Anthem: Led by frontman Brian Fallon, this Springsteen-loving rock 'n' roll band from New Jersey explores the realities behind the American Dream on its excellent new album, American Slang: www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127405836

Throughout June, NPR Music continues to preview the latest releases from innovative and noteworthy artists. New albums will include Further from British electronic duo The Chemical Brothers, The Boxer, a solo project from Bloc Party lead singer Kele Okereke; The Five Ghosts from Canadian indie-pop band Stars; Ten, an anniversary album from jazz group Jason Moran and The Bandwagon; and I Mean to Live Here Still, a collaboration between David Karsten Daniels and Fight The Big Bull. Look for these "Exclusive First Listens" starting June 14.
