NPR TO PARTICIPATE IN REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY DEBATE

Post-Super Tuesday Debate Will Be Held in Portland, Oregon on March 19, 2012

NPR is delighted to work with Oregon Public Broadcasting and the Washington Times to provide exclusive broadcast coverage, along with PBS, of a Republican Presidential primary debate on March 19, 2012, in Portland, Oregon. Coming shortly after Super Tuesday, this debate will mark a critical moment in the Republican presidential nomination process, affording voters the opportunity to hear directly from the final candidates on their plans to tackle the challenges facing Oregonians and all Americans.

NPR looks forward to moderating the debate in collaboration with journalists from the other participating media outlets. Oregon Public Broadcasting is producing this debate; NPR will make it available for live broadcast to its nearly 270 NPR Member stations across the country, reaching an audience of more than 34 million listeners weekly and millions more on digital platforms.
