NPR DIGITAL SERVICES STEPS UP EFFORTS TO MEASURE
AND MONETIZE STATION STREAMS

NEW STATION TOOLS WILL PROVIDE REAL-TIME AUDIENCE METRICS
AND DIGITAL SPONSORSHIP MANAGEMENT TOOLS

NPR Digital Services announced today that it will offer new streaming audience measurement and corporate sponsorship management services to NPR Member stations. The new features, offered through a master agreement with Triton Digital, are intended to help NPR and stations grow their digital sponsorship revenue by more effectively presenting listeners with audio sponsorship messages, while at the same time providing measurement of audience and sponsorship impact.

"While our digital audience is growing fast, stations have been challenged to grow their digital revenue at the same pace and to accurately and reliably measure the impact of digital sponsorship. These new tools will help stations to better identify and quantify the rapidly growing number of listeners that are accessing their programming through online streaming, and to translate that into metrics that are meaningful to potential sponsors. This is an exciting next step in our ongoing effort to embrace and leverage digital media platforms."

The new streaming measurement and underwriting delivery tools will help stations better position themselves to offer digital sponsorships. Stations using the service will be able to produce instant proof-of-performance affidavits that include accurate impression statistics. These metrics will also provide confirmation of digital campaigns and unprecedented detail on total campaign impressions and audience preferences.
