NPR Mobile is fully featured WAP site with audio, photos and text. Our click-to-call feature allows phones without streaming media capabilities (such as the Blackberry) to play audio directly over the phone. According to the major mobile phone carriers and industry insiders, NPR is the first company to integrate click to call technology into a content Web site.  In addition to listening to our hourly news updates, users can play the Wait…Wait, Don't Tell Me! Quiz or enjoy original NPR audio and stories on a range of topics, from new movie releases to our Song of the Day.

NPR partnered with public radio stations in selected U.S. cities to provide local news and information on NPR Mobile.  In these cities, you can use your phone to listen to local news updates and recent features by your hometown station, when you want it, wherever you are.  In many markets, audio weather and the latest traffic report is also just a click away. 

In those markets where this service is not directly offered by a local station, NPR Mobile helps you find the local NPR member station on your radio dial.  Next time you're on a road trip, just type in the name of the town you're passing through.  You'll get a complete list of NPR stations in your listening area, with call letters, frequency and signal strength.
