Exclusive Video: Timber Timbre

We first talked about Timber Timbre on our SXSW 2010 preview show. Timber Timbre is essentially the music of Taylor Kirk, a native of Toronto, Canada, whose musical motto is "creep on creepin' on." It's an appropriate tagline for a band that makes rustic, atmospheric acoustic music that's as spooky as an autumn night alone in a deep, dark woods. Kirk has one of the most distinctive and memorable voices you'll likely hear. Check out these three tracks we recorded live at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX at this year's South by Southwest festival and conference. Taylor Kirk is in the middle. He's accompanied by Mika Posen on violin and Simon Trottier on lap steel and autoharp. These cuts also appear on the band's most recently album, Timber Timbre.
