One of my Top 10 artists of 2010, Sea of Bees, has a new video for "Willis," from last year's thrilling, experimental rock and pop album Songs for the Ravens.
willis from TERROREYES.TV on Vimeo.
The video cuts between scenes of Julie Ann Bee (the only permanent member of Sea of Bees) singing on the beach in Pacifica, Calif., and performing live with her band. It's a simple but affecting treatment for one of her standout songs. But as always, the real star is Bee's lovely and distinctive voice.
The video was shot by Michael Leahy, Sean Stout and John Baccigaluppi. The band includes Amber Padgett, Bryce Gonzales, James Neil, Sam Coe and John Baccigaluppi.
