In this week's episode of All Songs Considered, co-hosts Bob Boilen and Robin Hilton are joined by NPR Music's Stephen Thompson, who tries to find a solution to the problem of cell phones at concerts in light of The Lumineers stopping their international hit "Ho Hey" to tell people to put their phones down. Bob surprises everyone by having actually seen the 1980s children's movie Lars Gotrich uses to describe Aloonaluna. Also find out what Brookyln high school hip-hop collective is sampling the Carol Burnett show. Premieres include Elf Power and Bill Callahan.

Another group of talented young musicians who met in high school, this Brooklyn hip-hop group utilizes a large amount of live instrumentation. "They are young kids taking influence from what was popular in middle school for them like N.E.R.D and smooth and lush hip-hop," says NPR Music's Frannie Kelley.

"Have you ever seen The NeverEnding Story?" asks NPR Music's Lars Gotrich. "There's this big beautiful pristine ivory tower in the film, this music is what I imagine sound tracking being in that tower." Is there really anything else to say about this song? Aloonaluna's out-of-print cassette, now available on Bandcamp, is full of angelic sounds and beautiful fuzzy soundscapes.

FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs (formerly just Twigs) is a singer from Britain with a hypnotic voice. "She reminds me of what Kate Bush would sound like if she got into trip-hop," says All Songs co-host Robin Hilton. This cut is from FKA Twigs' upcoming release, EP2.
