Apple Touts iPad Sales, Saying Company Has Sold A Million Devices

It took 28 days to sell one million iPads, Apple said in a press release Monday. Steve jobs was quoted saying that it had taken the original iPhone 74 days to reach the same mark and that iPad "demand continues to exceed supply."

Silicon Alley Insider has its own breakdown of the numbers and notes that it took Apple something approaching two years to sell one million iPods. The site also estimates that the company's iPad sales "could reach more than $1 billion for quarter."
