With her mix of global pop and alternative merengue, Dominican bombshell Maluca is perhaps the oddest breakthrough success to come from the Mad Decent records family in the last few years. Her 2009 hit "El Tigeraso" (see below) left listeners wondering who the girl in the beer can rollers was and began a promising career.

But it's been more than two years, and Maluca has yet to release her much-anticipated debut album. Following her exhilarating China Food Mixtape back in 2010, Maluca announced Massive Pow Pow, an EP set to be released this summer. First single "Lola (Ging Danga)" hit the Web just in time for the warm weather and is in the running to become the tropical jam of the season.

On the surface, "Lola" is just another rapid-fire party track, but the lyrics go deeper than that. "This song goes for all my Lolas in the world," Maluca says. It's a bilingual ode to working women and especially to the Dominican ladies.

The new single comes with a lyric video created by Rollz Royce and described by her label as "a trip back to the '90s with glitchy gifs, and ghetto sketch dancing avatars." It's a smart but playful clip dedicated to the girls just "tryin' to make their money to pay the bills."

Maluca Esta Devuelta Con "Lola"
