I'm normally the Picture and Multimedia Editor for NPR.org, but I'm taking some time off from my role editing photos and videos to co-host The Baby Project blog. Over the past few years, I've worked on multimedia projects ranging from traumatic brain injury, to Woman Airforce Service Pilots, to profiling a composer at a desert monastery.

I've been at NPR since June of 2007, and prior to that was an online photo editor at usatoday.com, washingtonpost.com, and also interned in the White House photo office. I have an MA in photojournalism from the University of Missouri. The degree took me a bit longer than normal to finish since I took two years off to work in New York and London, but the journey was well worth it.

In my spare time, I like to do yoga, swim, camp and basically do anything that involves being on the water. I also bike to work, love coffee ice cream, and am currently trying to grow tomatoes in my backyard. I'm a Washington, D.C., native and will be getting married to my fiance, Brad, in Door County, Wis., this September. We are expecting our first child in January, and working on this blog has been wonderful preparation for all the expected, and unexpected, things to come.
