Anyone Else Think Ron Paul Won?

We trucked in a fine, fine political analyst to pick apart Tuesday's GOP presidential debate. MSNBC's David Shuster pronounced rookie debater Fred Thompson "a little bit disjointed."

Alison Stewart gave her award for best soundbite to Ron Paul. The fundraising phenom jumped all over Mitt Romney for saying lawyers could decide whether President Bush needed Congressional approval to take military action against Iran:

"This idea of going and talking to attorneys totally baffles me. Why don't we just open up the Constitution and read it?"

Don't make us read your minds. Tell us what you thought of the debate and/or today's show.

Romney certainly showed no respect for the Constitution in his 'consult the lawyers' remark, but also with regard to his tussle with Giuliani over the constitutionality of the line item veto. Message to Mitt: when the Supreme Court says it's unconstitutional, Game Over.

You've got to be quite the Emperor-wannabe, to make Rudy Giuliani look like a strict constructionist.

The worse gaff, though not as noticible, and not widely reported was Giuliani's assertion, that we could have preemptively attacked afghanistan to avoid the 911 attacks.

I suppose he forgets that we had already bombed camps in Afghanistan, and factories in Sudan, prior to 911, and that terror attacks occured after the invasion and regime change in Afghanistan.

I hate this show, it's so annoying and shallow - it's all:

Yammer yammer yammer, natter natter natter, boompity boompity boomp

Sent by Steven Schwartz | 10:34 AM ET | 10-10-2007

I demand more boompity boompity boomp!

Sent by Stewart | 1:24 PM ET | 10-10-2007

Yeah! Boompity, boompity boomp sounds kind of cool. I'm glad we have it. While I'm here, yammer and natter is pretty much the same thing: Yammering is just nattering, but louder, so you're pretty much yammering or nattering yourself. Pot kettle black. That's all I'm sayin'.

Ron Paul is that same "breath of fresh air" McCain was in 2000. He tells it like he sees it and may be someone I could vote for. His straight talk probably has something to do with his ability to raise money.
