Free Burritos! We're So There.

door

The always game Tricia McKinney. Instant costume and pic by the amazing MJ Davis.

Every year on Halloween, Chipotle offers a free burrito to anyone who shows up at a store dressed as a burrito. All you need is some tin foil and an empty stomach...and the ability to disregard the Chipotle calorie counter.

MJ Davis, a producer type, decided we simply had -- had -- to make a burrito costume for someone and send that someone to the Chipotle downstairs. Tricia McKinney, an editor type, remembered that journalists love free food like Pam Anderson loves saline.

Except for those occasions when. . .

The line is just too long.

I'm going to try again when the line gets shorter.

Chipotle huh?

You mean the company that knowingly buys tomatoes from growers that exploit migrant workers?

Yeah, that Chipotle. (These types of companies do fine without free advertising, btw. You don't need to steer away from news to give them a little help.)

Worker exploitation... now that is spooky.

Did you go the extra mile and wash it down with a Coke or Pepsi product?

Happy Halloween.

Down here in the low country all we have is Moe's (still good, but it's no Chipotle). Thank you BPP for reminding me of what I'm missing.

Ah, smug superiority. Always the most amusing brand of snark, because it reveals so much more about the snarker than the snarkee. For example, we now know that tonight Brian is gonna be that guy at the Halloween party who pins people against the bookcase and lectures them about the bad connotations and evil histories of their costumes and then demands that the host prove the onion dip was made from non-rBGH sour cream.

Assuming that he still gets invited to Halloween parties, that is.

Ouch. Actually, I did go to Halloween party. I went as a loaf of bread - I was baked. :)
