The website where the military was mistakenly advertising is called Glee.com. It describes itself as "a fresh online community for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other supportive individuals to network, share a tolerant, social lifestyle, and even find jobs."
According to Maj. Michael Baptista, advertising branch chief for the Army National Guard, the site doesn't meet "the moral standards" of the military.
I'd be interested to know the "moral standards" of all the other websites where the Army National Guard spends the rest of its $6.5 million web ad budget.
Of course, the military has been recruiting gay people since its inception, it just doesn't want to admit it. It is more like, don't ask us if we appreciate the dedicated service of gay people, and we will not tell you any lies about how we treat them.
