Don't know what the rest of you are doing for Blog Action Day, but here's my contribution to the supposedly global pile of posts on the environment. With a tip of the hat, I give you Davis, Calif., a place where they really want you to ride a bike.
I live in Palo Alto, not too far, and wish my city would be as crazy about biking as Davis. All the cars, and a lack of real infrastructure for bikers, make it a challenge for bikers. My dream would be of a city without cars for one day a week . . . Is that too much to ask?
Today, in honor of Blog Action Day, I invented a new word. 'blogact', for blogging+activism. I give an example of it in my blog. Would love to hear from all of you 'blogacters'!
