We're having Chris Elliott on the show tomorrow. Yes, the same Chris Elliott from Letterman, "Saturday Night Live," the short-lived but brilliant sitcom "Get A Life," "Something About Mary," and more. He'll be hanging with us in the studio to talk about his new book, Into Hot Air: Mounting Mount Everest. Do you have a question for him? Post it to the comments section. If we use your question in the show, you'll win the right to tell people that we used your question in the show.
"Chris. . . Chris who?"
Sorry, I know that wasn't a real question. How about this:
"Why, as a comedian, did you feel the need to write this novel? Was there something deep in your soul that compelled you to put your comedic talents to pen?"
If that is too deep this might work:
"How much of this book is influenced by your own personal experiences in comedy?"
And also:
"Did you ever seriously consider climbing Mount Everest."
And if that was not enough, a variation on the first non-question:
"Most of today's youth have absolutely no idea who you are. They have never seen you, heard of you, or even remotely considered the possibility of your existence. If there was a single defining thing that you would want the world to know about you, what would it be? Why?"
My favorite Chris Elliott role was the one you did on "Raymond." How much of that character's weirdness was the script, and how much came from you (or did you help write the character)?
