On the Liberty Dollar website "Monetary Architect" and Liberty CEO Bernard von NotHaus says he is going to be setting up a legal defense fund for his fight against the Fed. For some reason he is asking people to send checks (personally addressed to him of course) in US currency, not in Liberty Dollars. I wonder what "numismatic piece or medallion" he used to pay for his retainer . . .

Another entertaining tidbit can be found on the site's disclaimer section wherein Mr. NotHaus offers a definitive explanation on how it is absolutely not the case that the "Liberty Dollar" is either "money" or "currency."
