Bhutto Before Return to Pakistan: "I Do Not Know What Awaits Me"

i think this last piece is extraordinary for the clear message that it sends and a very important BPP pick up by pashman...it is difficult not observe that the world may be in serious sh-t and that Bush is not nearly hungry enough or smart enough to digest his (apparent) own words...it is a lie that he believes in freedom without bombs that coerce back room money deals that enhance corporations, manipulate real democracy and suppress support for strengthening the less fortunate (let alone the middle class). i think her letter writes to the heart of what is broken not only in pakistan but what could potentially become even more potent in our own country...which is the idea that freedoms must be rationed...and democracy/capitalism are systems that should be left alone to flourish much like those chia pets...what pure nonsense...democracy requires care and consciousness, the greed of laissez faire selfishness and the survival of only the most educated, the most priviledged, the most connected and the most conniving...i'm afraid that's what makes ron paul so attractive to some...he makes it look too easy to those who may already be doing fine and have little committment to the social-economic well being of those who must struggle indefinitely in a society that can well afford to attempt a variety of more creative solutions to help others develop skills that enhance our democracy. while Bhutto was not without faults, she had the courage to identify those in her country who remain power hunger underminers of a more democratic country for their own personal gain...and how can anyone fail to notice the countries that do the best for the majority of its citizens utilize a fair system of TAXES...horrific revolutions were generally about a large group of people being treated unfairly by a few...or fundamentally extreme religious views that somehow went beyond the private confines of their respective churches, mosques and temples. it was a profound poem that stated if we did not stand up for our abused neighbors...then eventually "they" would get to us and...no one would be left. we must find a way to communicate with those of opposing views rather than blow them up...
