Wow: NPR Interview Set to Bhutto Video

Farah Ispahani, a member of Benazir Bhutto's media team, spoke to us Thursday from the hospital where former Pakistani prime minister was declared dead. Now someone has set that interview to the footage above. The result is amazing.

Writes Blogs of War:

One gets the impression that Farah is weeping not only for Benazir but for Pakistan. Who can blame her? It is such a great loss. Is there anyone who can fill this void?

to the bpp and alison stewart, this was an amazing in the moment interview of remarkable, award winning stature...between this and the slide show, it is so clear and so very sad to me that this beautiful, bright woman of courage is "allowed" to die while we protect and support so much testosterone gone hog wild.

after a day of non-stop coverage, including angling politicians (God that's annoying), this interview crystallized the whole thing. amazing job.

Great job with the "breaking news" coverage. I believe you guys did a better job than Morning Edition. And you're only a few months into radio. I see great things in the future.

Thank you for this interview. It is heart-breaking but not sentimental. There are no words for the despair that Pakistanis feel today. Despite the flurry of speculations, it is very clear that not enough was done to protect Ms. Bhutto, as Farah Ispahani points out. As a Pakistani, I am deeply, deeply saddened.
