Rate This Journalist's Flirting Skills

I was put up to it, I swear.

Right before I started working at the BPP, my video producer friend Charlotte Buchen asked me to be the on-camera reporter for a Current TV piece on 'eye gazing' parties. Basically it's like speed dating, except the flirting happens nonverbally. Rules are simple: Lock eyes with someone for three straight minutes, then move onto the next person. It's pretty intense.

Flirting in this case was part of the reporting process. How did I do?

The cynic in me wants to know how much it costs. It's a commercial operation, right? But hey, whatever floats your boat.

You did well at the flirting.

While I've never attended an eyegazing party, I was most fortunate to have been engaged in one in my workplace. This took place on Monday April 7, 2008.
This happened with a professionaly dressed female. We gazed for probably 2/3 minutes. We touched without touching. In her gaze she asked me if I liked her? It was more like are you attracted to me. She also had a puppy dog look on her face. She likes to cuddle. She also had a you're different look on her face. Although we never spoke and we don't know each other's names or contact info I feel no sense of loss or separation from her. I'm a thousand percent certain she feels the same about me. At an appointed time we will meet again. Four weeks later I think about her a lot. I have a woderful dose of heart melt.
