My favorite is the Thriller standby @ PSU football games. The Nittany Lion, Blue Band, Cheerleaders, et al revive the Thriller video every year.

Gotta go with the intro to "Billie Jean." Great walking bass part, and then that dead-simple four-note keyboard riff starts: pure pop perfection.

I was 13 when THRILLER came out, and it's really impossible to tell anyone who wasn't there just how omnipresent that album was. I never even owned a copy myself (I was already a devoted New Wave Kid by then), but I still have every single song -- even the two or three tracks that didn't come out as singles -- imprinted in my memory. You just could not escape that album.

Five years later, I was working in a used record store in Lubbock, Texas: there was a stack of copies of THRILLER on the second floor as high as my waist.

Wanna Be Startin Something has one of the most catchy tunes and the guitar riff by Van Halen on Beat It! That was one of the first songs my friend taught me how to play. I can still play it too. It's a timeless piece of work.
I think I have every version of Thriller (LP, Cassette, CD, MP3 and DVD). It's forever apart of my childhood. Watching it premiere live on MTV, wanting that white glove and learning how to do the Thriller dance. It's timeless and a masterpiece.

It's hard to say. The opening of "Billie Jean" is timeless, but when the synth horns in "Thriller" kick in, followed by the beat, I get chills.

Honestly, I'm a big fan of pop. This album has major historical value, is a cultural touchstone and continues to generate a lot of passionate memories with listeners, but then as now, the THRILLER album just never clicked with me, despite constant and prolonged exposure to it over the years.

Beat it! Who could ever forget this anthem. I remember kids would joke about this song for its underlying ode to masturbation. And the white glove! Come on what do you think Mike used that for? Excuse me for the jokes Mike, it was probably the best pop album of all time. Not just because MJ could sing, but he put it all together, fun tunes, the emotion, mood and the fantastic dancing. No one could do it like Michael. No matter how weird he is!

I'm one of the VH fans. I do have a special love for their style. The band has really addded a lot of things to hard rok music. I attend a lot of their concerts eventhough somtimes it becomes so hard to book a seat. A friend has recommended me a site for comparing ticket prices.
