"Well, there is a guy you can contact, and you go and you drive a bus... it's crazy! It's nuts!"

Best solo Rundown ever. Way to go Matt!

Something that I have noticed...

If I listen to the BPP every day, I am able to correctly answer a substantial number of questions asked on NPR's quiz show "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me." The knowledge I acquire is amazingly helpful in the final round: "Lightning Fill in the Blank."

{Insert your joke about listening to too much NPR here}.

Why is The Rundown so much better than the actual BPP broadcast? The Rundown is up there with The Daily Show, while the BPP broadcast is down somewhere between NBC's Today Show and all those morning zoos on commercial radio.
I'm giving up on BPP, but will check back in a couple of months to see if things have changed.

I agree that the BPP might occasionally benefit if it tried to ground itself a little more in hard news and expert opinion, and only added some of the more "zoo-like" elements into the show sporadically.

I've only been able to listen to the show infrequently over the past two months though, so I'm not sure I am in the best position to comment on the current BPP content. Really liked the policy wonk and science stuff the show has done in the past, however.
