YouTube: Lord of the Peeps

Because they can: Lord of the Rings: Return of the Peep

What is it about setting Peeps on fire? On today's show, Kate Prouty tells us about new uses for those (opinion: yucky) leftover Easter candies. Like have them joust with toothpicks and then set them on fire for YouTube.

And for people who seriously cannot get enough, nine minutes and 45 seconds of Peep Wars.

First Rachel and now Laura. This Peep apostasy cannot stand...I demand that you both recant your heresy.

I used to launch Peep attacks on my Peep loving friends in college. I would bite off the back of them, lick the cut edge, and make a Peep mosaic on their doors in the middle of the night. Something like the horse's head in the Godfather movie.

We use a marshmallow catapult in our engineering outreach programs with students in K-12 schools. During the spring, it becomes a "peep-a-pult" as we let the kids fire Peeps at their teachers instead of marshmallows...hoping to lead to the conclusion that science and engineering are fun!

I make my peeps fight each other to the death, because though they are very amusing they're also very inedible.

So, you take two peeps, and stick toothpicks in them, and set them facing each other in the arena (microwave). You begin their noble match by starting the microwave, and because they are marshmallows, they start blowing up. Whichever Peep impales and bursts his opponent with his lance (toothpick) first is the victor.

If you have both bunnies and chicks, then the chicks can be the bunnies' steeds.

Because candies are just so much cooler when they're killing each other.

There was a Peeps Art Car in the Houston Art Car Parade last year - it was awesome.
