Linkfest: Potential Aftermath of Nuclear War

A new study shows that the aftermath of a regional nuclear war would affect not just the countries engaged in battle, but the entire world. Nuclear warfare would put a massive hole in the ozone layer, endangering all forms of life.

"It would have a big increase in human ailments such as cataracts and cancer," said study leader Michael Mills of the University of Colorado at Boulder.

It's the BPP's Ramble.

OK, I'm getting a little bit worried about you guys and all the apocalyptarian stuff. Black holes, the collapse of civilization, nuclear war...there's a definite pattern emerging.

This is my fault, actually. I got to taste gefilte fish recently and prayed for the world to end. Nothing will be able to erase the horror. Matzoh's okay, charoset and z'roa are delightful, but on the list of things people eat on purpose gefilte fish is one of the more mystifying. More penance than food I think.
