Saad Mohseni on the state of Afghan society

On the show today, we told you we'd post an interview with the head of an Afghan national TV network that has refused to abide by a new government ban against airing Indian soap operas.

Saad Mohseni, the head of Tolo TV, says international allies have sat by as religious fundamentalism again takes hold. "They have allowed the re-Talibanization of Afghanistan to happen right under their noses," he says.

Yeah...Ok but have you ever seen one of these Indian soap operas!! They should be banned not just in Afghanistan but around the world. They are just awful! They might be comparable to American soaps if not for the incessant need that some Indian editors feel to include epileptic seizure causing camera and sound affects. If you ever needed proof that watching TV causes brain damage...just turn one of these soaps on for a few minutes.
