On today's show, we featured websites that take their inspiration from StuffWhitePeopleLike -- a three-month-old venture that's either the next big thing or the last big thing (already). Among our visitors was Scott Lamb of WhiteStuffPeopleLike. Lamb's site started on April 7, and it lists only three items so far: mayonnaise, cocaine and snow.

We think the Bryant Park Project's crowd can help round that out a little. (Leah illustrates her suggestion with a picture.)

Noooooo! Mayonnaise isn't white! Real mayo has egg yolks in it. How could it be white? Real mayo is pale yellow and delicious. The store-bought, chemical-filled garbage that we've grown up on is snow white, but tastes like bunny bottom. Alton Brown has a recipe for mayo (party mayonnaise) that takes about 15 minutes. You make it in a food processor, and it will change your attitude about mayo forever. The variant that includes two tablespoons of chili oil is my very favorite. Spicy, creamy goodness.

If you're from the south, how could you not include White Lightening or as we call it White Liquor. The best in the south is made in Franklin County VA, but I'm from North Carolina, so we prefer Brushy Mountain (near North Wilkesboro) brew.
