During todays ramble you seemed suprised that there were systems that could automaticly land a airliner. The landing system on the Global Hawk, a very large UAV, is so accurate that it was tearing up the runway because it was landing in EXACTLY the same place every time. They had to change the programming to throw in some variability to the landing spot.

re eye controls, and Rachel's example of raising ones eyebrows being used for raising the volume on ones iPod: given what we've seen of Rachel's eyebrow action, this would lead to dangerously loud volumes. Don't do it Rachel!
