New York Rain Runners

description

Matt and Ian, 6:10 a.m.

The New York Road Runners celebrated their 50th anniversary with a five-mile race in the rain in Central Park this morning. That's 10 years per mile. Matt Martinez and I managed a pace slightly faster than that.

I started running my first year of law school to save my sanity, but its because of groups like NYRR reaching out to and supporting non-elite athletes and recreational runners that I had the nerve to register for my first half marathon. I've been hooked ever since. 3 years later, I've run 6 full and 3 half marathons and hope to one day qualify for Boston. Happy 50th!!!

Never been a big running fan, but this story inspired me to take a jog tomorrow! What better way to enjoy a day off.

Ian
I haven't been running all my life -- I've been running all your life. I started the summer before your birth --at about your current age.

your obsessive, addicted, psychotic father but I am certainly very happy all the oofspring are also addicted to aerobic excess
