We're holding a Tweet-up, which is the 2.0 way of saying we're gathering in a bar with anyone willing to be seen with us.

It's happening Friday, July 25, the last day of our show. We're meeting at 6 p.m. (sharpish) at D.B.A. in the East Village. We'll probably be there until 9, maybe 9:30.

The bar's at 41 First Avenue in Manhattan, between 2nd and 3rd streets. Subway directions here. We'll be the unemployed ones. You'll know us when you see us.

Have fun everyone :D Wish I could be there for real.

The fact that you guys have invited your fans to join you - just shows what a great group of people you are. I can't make it to NY tomorrow night, but I will raise a toast to you from Wisconsin...

Cheers.

Sent by Matthew C. Scallon @mattsteady | 1:11 PM | 7-24-2008

Not sure what NPR is thinking... I'm part of their "older" demographics and still planned my drive time around you. Now I'm left with "Left" and CNN :-( Have a drink for me! Cheers

Sent by Rose from Rehoboth Beach, DE | 1:26 PM | 7-24-2008

Wish I could be there! I'll be drinking in solitude over at Fontana's, watching a friend's band play.

Sent by John Ratcliffe-Lee | 2:29 PM | 7-24-2008

I can't be there, but I'll be hoisting a virtual brew in your honor. (It'll only be 3 in the afternoon out here, so I can't be drinking the real stuff.)

Cheers to the BPP posse!

I'll be there! I've always wanted to check out d.b.a. and I wouldn't miss a chance to salute you guys and your great show. Like the others have said I'm still in denial... it can't be.

Sent by eladyland | 7:15 PM | 7-24-2008

Damn, wish I could be there. But I have to work, so I guess a flight from Michigan to NYC is out of the question...

Sent by Cinder Conlon | 8:39 PM | 7-24-2008

Although I can't join you tomorrow, I'll raise a glass to all that you've done and accomplished with this incredible show. You were just too good and obviously ahead of NPR's time.

Cheers!!

Sent by Julie in North Carolina | 9:32 PM | 7-24-2008

Wish I could be there. Wish there was a button on the d.b.a. website where I could by a round for the BPP crew. And, while I'm dreaming, I wish we were not even having this discussion and you'd all be thinking of Monday's two hour BPP show. Cheers!

Sent by Allen Oberhauser | 9:39 PM | 7-24-2008

I live in Australia so I can't join you so please have a beer for me. I have been lisrening to your show via podcast since it began (even before it began in pilot stages) and I love it. Very sad it won't be part of my days' listening at work :-(

Sent by Adrian Brown | 10:46 PM | 7-24-2008

good luck with everything!

Sent by Jenny | 8:17 AM | 7-25-2008

I wish I were fabulous enough to have one of those jet-set lifestyles that included being able to ditch work at the last minute and hop on a plane to NYC just to drink in a bar with people who are total strangers but don't feel like it at all.

Have fun. I'll have a drink in Memphis for you.

Sent by Kerry Crawford | 8:55 AM | 7-25-2008

I'm with you in spirit, BPPers--Cheers!

Sent by Nina | 1:46 PM | 7-25-2008

I would love to meet and hang with a great group of NPR/BPP folks that invite fans and friends. We will ALL miss you. If I did not have a drink event myself I'd be there. I may be in the area later...
