I was listening to the "A July 4th Mixtape" piece today and was tickled pink. Ian certainly gave The Annoying Music Show a patriotic twist. This points out why the BPP clearly does not need an Emergency Krulwich. I like him, don't get me wrong -- the man is a certifiable genius, but I can get R.K. on other NPR programs. On the BPP I'd much rather hear an Emergency Chillag, or Pashman, or Conaway, or Silver, or Spohrer, or... . We don't get to hear Mark Garrison much outside the news, but I'd be willing to bet he could put together a BPP-worthy segment. You've got a crack staff there. You don't need bailouts from Mr. Science.
