Finally, after cranking out more than 250 posts on swine flu, we got vaccinated.

Yeah, we should have gotten the shot sooner. We meant to, really.

At first we could claim that we were doing the right thing by waiting. We didn't belong to a high-risk group. Later, we blamed it on the family doctor, who didn't get any vaccine.

Sloth, not suspicion, kept us on the sidelines this long.

Today, though, the flu shots came to NPR HQ, and how could we not stroll down after lunch and get the free jab? The blog is called Shots, after all.

It turned out to be so easy. Filling out the consent form took longer than the short wait in line and the few seconds it took to roll up our sleeve and get the injection.

Our left arm is a little sore, so we may have a few more typos than usual. But we're doing our part for herd immunity and are ready for another swine flu wave, if it comes.

How about you?
