Discussing NPR Mobile Strategy At The 2010 Digital Media Conference

Last Friday, Demian Perry and I made the exhausting trip all the way over to Tyson's Corner, Virginia to attend and present at the Digital Media Conference.  There were quite a few panels throughout the day and lots of very interesting side conversations.

The day ended with our presentation on NPR's distribution and mobile strategies.  At the conference, there was a lot of talk about video, mobile and cloud computing.  As a result, we tailored our presentation towards to mobile side, but with a different slant.  Instead of focusing on the mobile apps and sites themselves, we focused on the NPR architecture and API and how that has been the great enabler for NPR to achieve rapid development in the mobile space.  In other words, because we have our rich and powerful API, our mobile team is free to pursue the development of their mobile products without being encumbered by limited internal development resources.

Here are the slides to the presentation.  Thanks to all that attended our session and for the great conversations throughout the day.
