Obama: I Didn't Lead Well Enough

The post-election explaining continues at the White House, where President Obama has used an interview with CBS News' 60 Minutes to again make the case (as he did during his news conference on Wednesday) that it isn't so much the policies and decisions he's made that have hurt Democrats — it's his failure to communicate.

The Early Show has a clip of Obama telling 60 Minutes' Steve Kroft that:

"Over the course of two years we were so busy and so focused on getting a bunch of stuff done that, we stopped paying attention to the fact that leadership isn't just legislation. That it's a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone."
