Obama's 'Exhausted' Defender, Velma Hart, Loses Job

Velma Hart, the woman who famously told President Obama at a town hall-style meeting in September that she was exhausted by defending him and his policies and disappointed he hadn't turned the economy around, was laid off from her job as a non-profit executive.

My fellow NPR blogger Mark Memmott has a post on The Two-Way.

You can only wonder what Hart would say to the president now, given how dispirited she seemed while she still had a job.

The Washington Post evidently reached her after learning of the layoff but she declined to talk, according to Post writer Michelle Singletary.
