For our last week of training, we had one day to do a full project. I'm a big fan of the audio slideshow and decided I'd try to do one of those. About six months ago, for Weekend Edition Sunday, Liane Hansen and I went to the National Cathedral to do a piece for the centennial anniversary. We'd wanted to do something on the gardens, but hadn't had time. But I thought doing a slideshow about the gardens might work as a complementary piece.

Here was one of the first slideshows I did - Sarah Handel and Sarah Beyer Kelly and I did a fun project on the rise of the cupcake. We made a little trip to Georgetown Cupcake to see some professional cupcake bakers at work (and to sample some of the goods...Yum!)
