" I don't mind hard work"
This is my very first slide show. I decided to follow a man who in renovating a 1930s
craftsman style home.

Leroy Tate (Black Shirt ) bought this house in 2002. But his goal was not to make a a profit. "This is just to keep me busy" said the 62 year old retired postal worker and electrician.

Many of the tasks Mr. Tate embarks on require an extra pair of hands. So he barders electrical work for help with things he can't do by himself , such as masonry.

Todays project ; run an electical wire from the house to the garge. True to his trade he makes sure that the work is to code. "It's gotta be 18 inches deep or it ain't code" says Tate.

Some tasks require "the hands on approach" because a shovel will not fit. "I don't mind working hard, thats how I was raised" Tate exclaims.

One of the other outside projects was refinshing the outside of the house with new cedar shingles.

Hand injuries are not uncommon during any home renovation.
