Kissing The Sun On Its Shortest Day

We are about to cross over. Tomorrow at 6:38 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, the Earth's axis will be at maximum tilt, which means in the northern hemisphere, Tuesday will have the shortest day and the longest night of the year. So why not, very gently, give the sun a thank you kiss?
