Metropolis host Jason Bentley recently sat down with the tremendous electronic music producer Jon Hopkins. The British musician has collaborated with Brian Eno, appeared on a Coldplay record and contributed heavily to one of 2011's best albums, King Creosote's Diamond Mine.

Hopkins has released music under his own name for more than a decade, the latest album being Immunity (which was featured as a First Listen earlier this year). During this 19-minute interview, Hopkins discusses his creative process, his improv sessions with Herbie Hancock and his place on the current electronic music landscape.
