The U.K.-based EDM trio Above & Beyond has built a massive following over the past decade, playing live and DJing major festivals around the world. Through its own Anjunabeats label, the band has released numerous dance anthems, staying true to its purist trance sound over the years.

Recently, however, Above & Beyond has tried something new and unexpected: performing its biggest tracks with acoustic arrangements. Following positive reviews of its shows in London and Los Angeles, the group recently confirmed the release of an album called Above & Beyond Acoustic in late January.

Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki and Tony McGuinness recently sat down with Metropolis host Jason Bentley on the eve of their two sold-out Los Angeles performances at The Greek to talk about their motivations for trying things a new way.
