Over at the All Songs Considered blog, they've begun compiling votes for listeners' favorite albums of 2009. If you haven't already, you should head over there and make your picks!

Year-end lists are difficult, though perhaps not as ridiculous as trying to figure out what the most important albums of the decade were. Thus far, I only see a few of my favorites on the year-end poll (like Lightning Dust, for one).

In other best-worst/most-least/good-bad news, Stereogum has compiled the most anticipated albums of 2010. From Spoon to Panda Bear, Interpol to MGMT, it looks like next year is going to be one giant cupcake. Whether we're disappointed or sated by the feast is another question all together.

Personally, I'm ready for that new Quasi album, American Gong. Okay, I'll admit, I've heard it. And it is awesome!
