Normally, we would leave the fashion to the Fug Girls, who actually covered this outfit yesterday. They're certainly up to it.

But an infinite number of monkey-themed pop-culture blogs at an infinite number of typewriters will eventually write one entry that says, essentially, "Get a load of what Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing." And we have reached that moment.

Because really, what is this? Yes, it is a film-set costume, meaning that SJP might be filming a scene in which Carrie Bradshaw is knowingly referencing Flashdance. She could be attending an '80s theme party. The Fug Girls point out that it may be a flashback. But why is she wearing a torn-up sweatshirt and pearls? That is just illogical.

And what makes this hair necessary? And if it is a flashback, how young is Sarah Jessica Parker supposed to look? She is now 44; when Flashdance came out, she was 18. There are many questions. There are few answers. These are the vagaries of playing the "Get a load of what Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing" game.
