• I have to admit that when I saw Date Night, I completely noticed the mistaken information about the Kindle that's discussed in this essay about whether product placement can be false advertising. It was a really funny joke, though, so I let it slide.

• They're trying to kill Shrek for good. No, seriously. Shrek is under attack.

• "I had nothing to do with it. Oh, wait, maybe I did. Maybe it was my wife! No, actually, it was me the whole time."

• Now, look. I enjoyed the Madonna-themed Glee episode. But that doesn't mean you can just build an episode around anybody you want.

• A slow box-office weekend saw a poor opening for The Losers and a lukewarm one for The Back-Up Plan — and still hanging on with great word of mouth is How To Train Your Dragon.

• Two things you can say about Conan O'Brien's tour: he has lots of friends, and he's having a good time. It seemed like half of Twitter was at his L.A. show on Saturday night, and if you want to see him sing with a costumed Jim Carrey, you can.
