The music rights to American Idol have moved from Sony to Universal. This means... well, nothing to you and me, but Simon Fuller, the creator of the show and its second-most-important Simon, says in the linked article that his show has delivered hits "quietly" and "relentlessly," and as in all things Idol, he's half right.
