After two weeks off while I was painfully separated from my Pop Culture Happy Hour colleagues (they kindly did not replace me with Jennifer Lopez while I was gone), we have returned.

In this week's rather punchy podcast, we hit some highlights from my trip to California, play a quick Regrettable Television Pop Quiz, discuss Rob Corddry's new old show, have a surprisingly long discussion about donkey racing in Scandinavia, Wisconsin, and lots more.

If you enjoy the podcast, please press it upon all your friends until they are almost but not quite irritated by your enthusiasm. You can listen above, or subscribe to our all-singing, all-dancing Culturetopia podcast, which also includes lots of other arts-related NPR goodness.

OH AND P.S.: There is an abbreviation of Brett Favre's career in which we totally skip over his year with the Jets, because it is irrelevant to the shared agony experienced by Stephen and me, but we are well aware of it. We just try to ignore it, because if you're going to discuss the Brett Favre situation, you have to find SOME way to leave parts of it out, or it will take ... all ... day. Sorry to leave you out, Jets.

Thanks as always to Stephen Thompson, Trey Graham, Glen Weldon, our indispensable producer and music source Mike Katzif, and all of you who have told us that you do, indeed, like a little round-table goofballery now and then.

Next week, we're thinking Scott Pilgrim, so ... be ready for that.
