On this week's Pop Culture Happy Hour, Trey Graham returns to join me, Stephen Thompson, and Glen Weldon for a discussion of all things pop culture — particularly the Video Music Awards, about which we have many, many opinions.

We also delve into small-press comics and their devotees, the wisdom of meeting those you admire, the charms of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, and how we really feel, all these years later, about Friends and Seinfeld. And then Stephen gets all nice and sincere and explains a few things about friendship and quilting, and we offer you a free gift. No, really! (But honestly ... don't get too excited.)

Thanks, as always, to producer Mike Katzif, who once again kept us from going entirely off the rails even though, I am sad to say, that meant leaving a particularly agonizing rendition of The Black-Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling," performed by me and Stephen, on the cutting-room floor. We all have to suffer for our art.
