A group of 30 brides races to find a designer shoe that fits among hundreds of shoe boxes during " If the Shoe Fits" the Wedding Central's Ultimate Wedding Showdown at Madison Square Park November 9, 2010 in New York.
Wedding Central decided to run what it called "the ultimate shoe frenzy competition" for brides. Please note — not just any shoe frenzy competition. Not some run-of-the-mill shoe frenzy competition. Not a shoe unrest competition.
What this entailed, it turned out, was 30 brides running through Madison Square Park to find pairs of designer shoes.
Now, according to the official rules, these brides are not in their own dresses. They are in dresses "provided by Wedding Central." The best part of those official rules, by the way, is where it says, "Participant agrees to limit their search to the areas of shoes specified by Wedding Central." Presumably, this is to make sure the brides don't break into nearby houses looking for shoes.
Which, you must admit, would be hilarious.
